    Krasl Art Center
    Job Description
    The Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff is looking for unpaid high school or college aged students to work on special projects prior to and during the Krasl Art Fair, which will be held on July 8 and 9, 2017.
     
    This is a wonderful opportunity for students in the arts, computer sciences, event planning, office administration or other related programs to get hands on experience with a major public event.  Volunteers will be exposed to a variety of arts related programs as well as a high functioning professional staff while at the Krasl Art Center. 
     
    The Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff is a “Crown Jewel” of Southwest Michigan. Over 30,000 visitors attend the juried fair. Corrie Wolosin, the Art Fair Director, seeks ongoing operational and logistical support to work with a core committee of 9, a general committee of over 30 and over 400 volunteers to prepare for and run the art fair.  This is a true leadership opportunity for the right person!
     
    Volunteers need to possess:
    • Good computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word and Office).
    • Social Media familiarity
    • Be organized
    • Able to complete tasks as requested in a time sensitive manner
    • Other skills include:
      • Good people skills
      • Good communication skills
      • Comfortable in conversing over the phone
      • Willingness to try new tasks
      • Willingness to ask for help & direction as needed
      • Able to receive feedback
    Hours are flexible, but would prefer 20 hours a week 6 weeks before the art fair or in the spring months.
    Most work is completed on the computer and/or over the phone.
    Volunteers can expect references and assistance with contacts after the fair concludes.
