    Job Description
    Responsible for the project management and working with clients to design buildings, additions, and renovations of new and existing buildings. Works closely with other Wightman professionals to ensure safe, efficient, economical and functional spaces.
    Essential Functions
    • Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
    • Consult with client to determine functional and spatial requirements
    • Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents
    • Plan layout of project
    • Prepare contract documents for building contractors
    • < >repare scale drawingsIntegrate engineering elements into unified design
    • Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
    • Administer construction contracts.
    • Represent client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
    • Prepare operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.
    Required Skills & Behaviors
    • Strong project management, communication & organization skills
    • Excellent graphic presentation skills
    • Proficient in CAD, Revit & Sketchup
    • Proficient in Adobe Suites & Microsoft office
    Organizational Relationships
    • Reports directly to Department Manager - Architecture
    Required Education/Experience
    • Bachelor degree in Architecture
    • 5 – 10 years of experience in Architecture
    • 2 – 4 years of project management experience
    Preferred Education/Experience
    • Master’s degree in Architecture
    • Licensure
    • Experience in sustainable design/LEED
    • 10-25% local travel
