    • About

Our mission is to enhance the lives of people of all ages with special needs through horse-related activities. TEC offers year round therapeutic riding with PATH Intl. Certified Instructors conducting safe and effective therapeutic riding lessons. We offer group or semi-private lessons.

The Riders learn how to properly groom and tack their horses with the guidance of trained volunteers and once mounted, begin with warm up exercises which challenge their balance and strength. Riders find the lessons so much fun they do not realize how much work they accomplish.

Riders learn skills toward independent horsemanship, while also working on individual physical, cognitive, social and emotional goals which positively affect their quality of life.

TEC serves a variety of individuals with special needs. Some of those include, but are not limited to, ADD/ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment, Speech Impairment, Developmental Delay, Learning Disabilities, Emotional and Behavior Challenges, and Paralysis.

TEC also offers a wide variety of volunteer options and opportunities from which to choose. You may be interested in helping riders with special needs in our therapeutic riding program. Perhaps you prefer facility maintenance and ground work. Another choice could be working with horse care and exercising. Office and administration help is also needed.

      Without Volunteers, We Don't Ride!
